How long does a home inspection take?
Most single-family homes take two and a half to three and a half hours on-site, depending on size, age and condition.
Do I have to attend the inspection?
Attending is not necessary. Some clients prefer to join for the on-site summary, but the choice is completely yours; your full report stands on its own.
Can a house pass or fail an inspection?
No. The report is a dispassionate snapshot of the home on the day of inspection. The inspector is not a party to your real-estate contract.
